Frequently asked questions

Everything students and parents ask us most. Cannot find your answer? Talk to our team.

1.What is R2T (Root to Tech)?

R2T, short for Root to Tech, is an empowerment hub that brings enterprise technology skills to students from rural communities. We bridge the gap between rural talent and the global tech industry through training, mentorship and career support. Our hub is located at Mettupatti Toll Plaza, Salem - Chennai Highway, Salem, Tamil Nadu.

2.Who can join R2T?

College students, school students, and non-IT professionals looking to switch into tech are all welcome at R2T. No prior technical or coding experience is needed — our programs are beginner friendly, and our mentors guide you step by step from the basics to job-ready skills.

3.Which technologies and courses do you offer?

We train on six enterprise technologies: Salesforce, Snowflake, AI & Machine Learning, Informatica, Data Engineering, and Frontend & Vibe Coding. Each one has its own page that explains why to learn it, what you will study, the learning path, and the jobs you can aim for.

4.Do I need a technical background or any coding experience?

Both yes and no. No, you do not need any prior coding experience or a technical degree to join, as our programs are designed from scratch and mentors guide you step by step. Yes, because having basic computer familiarity, logical thinking, and the willingness to learn and practise daily are important to succeed.

5.Do I need my own laptop or computer?

Yes, you need your own laptop or computer with an internet connection. Having your own laptop allows you to practise hands-on exercises, complete assignments, and work on real-world projects during sessions at the hub and at home. Our mentors will guide you to set up all required developer tools, software, and sandboxes.

6.Who will teach and guide me?

You will learn from working industry professionals. Our mentors include Salesforce developers, a front-end developer, a project manager and a business analyst, working at companies such as Accenture, HCL Tech, Cognizant, UST, Xebia and Cloud Odyssey. You can read each mentor's experience in the Why Choose Us section of our home page.

7.Do you provide internships and real projects?

Yes. We offer internships and project based learning so you gain real experience and build a track record you can show to employers. For example, our students have completed internships in areas such as Data Engineering and Snowflake.

8.Will R2T help me get a job?

We support you with career preparation, including interview guidance, communication skills and your first job search. We prepare you for jobs listed on each course page, such as Salesforce Administrator or Data Engineer, but we cannot guarantee a job placement.

9.How much do the courses cost, and how long are they?

Course fees, batch timings and durations are shared by our team and can differ by course. Please contact us at info@root2tech.in or call +91 70944 33344 to get the latest details.

10.How do I apply or contact the R2T team?

You can also email info@root2tech.in, call +91 70944 33344 (Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm IST), or visit our hub at Mettupatti Toll Plaza, Salem - Chennai Highway, Salem, Tamil Nadu. We usually reply within 24 hours.

Yes, we welcome mentors who want to guide the next generation of tech talent. Click Become a Mentor in the top menu, fill in your details with your role, company and areas of expertise, and attach your resume. Our team will review your application and get back to you.

12.Are the classes online or in person?

Our training is mainly in person at the R2T rural hub in Salem, Tamil Nadu (Mettupatti Toll Plaza, Salem - Chennai Highway), where students learn together with the guidance of mentors. Mentors from the industry also support students through online sessions, so you can get expert help even when they are not in Salem.

13.Do I get a certificate after completing a course?

Yes. Students who complete a course and its projects receive an R2T completion certificate. Our mentors also guide you to prepare for official industry certifications, such as the Salesforce exams, which are taken separately.

14.Which course should I choose if I am not sure?

Start with the course page for each technology. It explains why to learn it, what you will study and the jobs you can aim for. As a simple guide: choose Salesforce if you like business and customer systems, Data Engineering or Snowflake if you enjoy working with data, AI & Machine Learning if you are curious about intelligent applications, and Frontend & Vibe Coding if you like building websites. If you are still unsure, call +91 70944 33344 or email info@root2tech.in and our team will help you choose.

15.Can I join more than one course?

Yes. Many learners begin with one track and add another later, for example Salesforce first and then Data Engineering. We recommend finishing one course before starting the next, so you build strong skills and a project for each. Talk to our team to plan the best order for your goals.

16.In which language are the classes taught?

Our classes are taught in both English and Tamil. Mentors explain concepts in simple Tamil where needed, while the course material and tools use English, which is the language of the industry. This helps students from Tamil-medium backgrounds learn comfortably and still be ready for global teams.
